The keynote speaker at the 30th annual Child Life Conference this year was Steve Gross, founder of the Life is good® Playmakers. He has used his knowledge of child development, trauma and the power of play to build an organization that trains people to bring play to the children that need it most. They offer a Playmaker training specifically tailored to child life specialists and other professionals working in hospital/medical settings. I think that this is a wonderful addition to the CL skillset and I’ve already emailed requesting more information about future trainings.
